Project Information
Filmhub is an all-rights film and TV distributor founded by industry veterans behind iconic modern cinema. Representing Oscar legends, global studios, and digital-first creators, it connects filmmakers with audiences around the world.
Despite rapid growth through word of mouth, Filmhub’s brand hadn’t evolved. Many still saw it as a startup or indie aggregator and therefore misaligned with its real stature and ambition. STUDIO HERRSTRÖM was brought in to reset that perception.
Our goal was to design a brand identity that reflected Filmhub’s credibility, innovation, and purpose. Through THE ECHO™ framework, we immersed in the language of filmmaking to uncover a design system grounded in trust and artistry.
At the center of the identity is a symbol inspired by a filmmaker’s gesture when framing a shot: capturing Filmhub’s role as both a connector and visionary. The full system was designed to adapt across a growing catalog of films, with a unified logotype anchoring all expressions.
The palette drew directly from cinema, most notably the Braun Nizo S800 camera by Dieter Rams. Neutral tones of black, gray, and white were paired with a purposeful orange to highlight key messaging. Typography, led by Everett Regular and Mono Medium, brought clarity and control, while directional scaling added focus and movement.
Beyond the identity, we extended our collaboration into pitch decks, a redesigned website, book design, and product tools—equipping Filmhub with a cohesive and confident brand presence.
Within six months of launch, the rebrand played a foundational role in Filmhub being named one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies of 2025 and securing additional Series A funding.
It also reinforced what matters most: Filmhub’s mission to open up access for filmmakers everywhere, without traditional gatekeepers.
